The Navratri Festival


Shardiya Navratri is that the hottest and significant Navratri of all Navratris. That’s why Shardiya Navratri is additionally referred to as Maha Navratri.

This falls in lunar month Ashwin during Sharad Ritu. Shardiya Navratri name has been taken from Sharad Ritu. Each of the nine days during Navratri are devoted to nine types of Goddess Shakti. Shardiya Navratri falls in the period of September or October. The nine days party finishes on 10th day with Dussehra or Vijaya Dashami.
