The date of Sharad Purnima is nearing. The full moon of the splendid fortnight of Ashwin month is called Sharad Purnima. This year it will be celebrated on 30 October. This day has special significance, that is why people fast and worship on this day. It is also called the festival of health. It is believed that the amritamayi moon of Sharad Purnima brings a boon of health in its rays. According to Hindu Panchag, the place of Sharad Purnima is prominent on the full moon nights. It is also known as Kaumudi i.e. Moonlight or Kojagari Purnima. Also, it is also celebrated as a harvest festival in many states of the country. On this festival, Kheer is kept in the light of the moon. It is said that eating this kheer, placed under the rays of the moon, helps to prevent all diseases.

What is the worship method of Sharad Purnima

Goddess Lakshmi is worshiped on Sharad Purnima. She has eight forms, including Dhanalakshmi, Dhanyalakshmi, Raj Lakshmi, Vaibhav Lakshmi, Aishwarya Lakshmi, Santhan Lakshmi, Kamala Lakshmi and Vijay Lakshmi. All the wishes of the devotees who worship the mother with true mind are fulfilled.

Get up in the morning and take bath etc. on Sharad Purnima day. Prepare the worship of Mata Lakshmi and Shri Hari by cleaning the temple of the house. For this, put a red or yellow color cloth on an outpost. Install the idol of Goddess Lakshmi and Vishnu on it. Light a lamp of ghee in front of the statue, sprinkle Ganga water and apply tilak of Akshat, Roli. Offer white or yellow sweets and offer flowers. If there are roses then it is even better.

Fill rice pudding made with cow's milk in small pots. Now cover them with a sieve under the light of the moon. After this, recite Lord Vishnu Sahastranam, recitation of Srisukta, recitation of Srisukta, glory of Lord Shri Krishna, recitation of Sri Krishna Madhurashtakam and Kanakadhara Stotra after Ganapati ji's aarti while awakening Brahma Muhurta.

The next day after getting up in Brahma Muhurta and taking bath etc., after offering Kheer to Maa Lakshmi, let the family members take the prasad form.
